Barbecue Tempeh
Ingredients
Ingredients by volume:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 12 oz tempeh
- 6 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp tamari (or regular soy sauce if gluten is okay)
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
Ingredients by weight:
- 13 g olive oil
- 340 g tempeh
- 120 g maple syrup
- 34 g tamari (or regular soy sauce if gluten is okay)
- 6 g smoked paprika
- 2.3 g ground black pepper
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat while you cut the tempeh into squares or triangles.
- Add the maple syrup, tamari, smoked paprika, and black pepper to the pan and stir until combined, about 1 minute.
- Add the tempeh and cook, flipping/stirring periodically to make sure it's evenly coated with sauce, until the sauce is fully absorbed - about 10 minutes.
